Bailey Zimmerman is breaking his silence as he faces criminal charges for destroying his hotel room in New Mexico.
On Tuesday, the country star addressed the events surrounding his canceled show on May 27th in a statement to People. Zimmerman began by apologizing for his actions and that he respects the Pueblo of Sandia and the opportunity that was given to him to perform on Native Land. He also directed his attention to the fans who bought tickets to his show saying “you deserved better from me,” and “I am reflecting on the disappointment and concern that I caused.” Zimmerman said he’s also taking this legal matter seriously and is committed to doing the work necessary to learn and grow.
The singer is facing charges for criminal damage to property and falsely obtaining services.
