Wednesday afternoon, the White Township Supervisors received the latest draft of the proposed junk vehicle ordinance.
The proposed ordinance would define junk vehicles and how they can be stored on a resident’s property. Many drafts have come and gone, as residents continue to voice mixed emotions about the language and legality of the ordinance.
Township Manager Chris Anderson talked about the changes that the latest draft is making.
Supervisors also discussed some trouble concerning the replacement of the traffic signals at the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Indian Springs Road. Anderson said that they advertised bids for the project and received none. He said that contractors are overwhelmed with road and traffic projects already, and they simply can’t take on a new project.
The supervisors will now see if they can extend their grant funding for the project and rebid later.
