Willie Nelson is urging communities to fight the construction of data centers in America.
In an open letter published on social media, the singer wrote that the nation deserves “thoughtful stewardship that doesn’t steal from farmland and small family farmer’s livelihoods, and not data centers that only destroy the environment around them.” Nelson also noted that he grew up in Abbott, Texas and called on his community to “fight against data centers invading our land.”
The 93-year-old singer has long been an advocate for several social issues.
