A new restaurant is opening its doors in downtown Indiana.
The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting today at 4 for Cuban Corner Café at 701 Philadelphia Street, on the corner of IRMC Park.
The café is owned by GiGi Donatelli, who was born in Cuba and moved to the United States as a child. She says the restaurant’s menu is inspired by family recipes and Cuban traditions.
Customers can expect dishes including ham croquettes, fried plantains, and black beans and rice, along with Cuban beverages and fruit shakes. The café will also feature a walk-up takeout window, similar to those found at Cuban cafés in Florida.
We’ll have coverage of the event on our Facebook page.
