Sunday marked 49 years since Elvis Presley — one of the most influential performers in music history — died at age 42.
Presley was found unresponsive at his Graceland home in Memphis on August 16th, 1977. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Elvis’ death shocked fans around the world.
Nearly five decades later, thousands still gather at Graceland to remember the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
