Plea and sentencing hearings are set for today for several cases, including one for a Derry woman charged with aggravated assault while DUI.
The charges against 22-year-old Angelica Morgan go back to November of 2023. In September of last year, she had entered guilty pleas to aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI and DUI-highest rate of alcohol. Three other charges were not prosecuted. This marks the fourth time that the courts will try to sentence her. She will go before County Judge Michael T. Clark this morning.
Also facing a sentencing hearing today is 48-year-old Edgar Leroy Fulmer of Marion Center. He will be sentenced for two cases where he pleaded guilty to simple assault for cases in September 5th of last year and February 27th of this year. He is due before Judge Gina Force this morning.
