Monday night, the Center Township Supervisors gave preliminary approval to the 2027 budget.
Supervisors Chairman Matt Housholder said the budget will balance around $2 million, which includes the $1.2 million budget from last year and $800,000 coming to the township in permitting fees. This also comes with no tax increases. Housholder talked about how the supervisors were able to hold the line on taxes.
The budget will be up for final approval later this year.
The supervisors also approved a resolution for the traffic signal maintenance agreement, which authorizes the township roadmaster to submit future modifications and traffic signal approval applications to PennDOT.
