A new hub for discounted products and Pittsburgh sports gear officially opened its doors this week in Ebensburg.

Customers flooded the Giant Eagle plaza off Route 22 Friday morning to christen the new Bickel’s Surplus and Pittsburgh Gift Shop.
The latter first opened in 2008 under then-parent company Specialty Promotions, but reopened along with the Blair County chain Bickel’s Surplus this week as a dual-brand mega store.
General Manager Nate Della said operating inside Ebensburg’s Hills Plaza made sense due to the amount of foot traffic the area sees each day.
Their opening weekend deals continue today and tomorrow, and daily hours are from 10-5 Monday through Friday, 10-4 on Saturdays, and varying hours on Sundays.
