Two area high schools will close their doors for the next two days and switch to remote learning during that time.
Armstrong School District announced that both the Armstrong and West Shamokin high schools will be closed today and tomorrow per CDC and Department of Education requirements. This is affecting only the high school buildings. The district’s other buildings will remain open for now. There was no announcement made concerning any extracurricular activities.
Students will switch to remote learning days for today and tomorrow and will follow the regular bell schedule. In-person classes are expected to resume on Thursday.
