A woman charged in connection with the death of a nine-month-old infant is due in district court today for a preliminary hearing.
21-year-old Patricia Ann Hullenbaugh of Indiana is scheduled to have her hearing today at 10:00 AM. She is charged with criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime, endangering the welfare of children, and strangulation. The charges were filed on January 6th of this year. On that day, state police were called out to her home after getting a call about the baby not breathing. Investigators say Hullenbaugh first told police that the child was found hanging out of the crib with his face down in the mattress, but later recanted her story. She reportedly admitted to pressing a blanket up to the baby’s face and then trying to cover up her actions.
She has been in Indiana County jail since her arrest. Bail was denied due to the homicide charges.
