Mikey Guyton and Samara Joy are some of the featured artists on Salt Lick’s Song of U.S. series this week.
The series brings together musicians from several genres and generations to reinterpret songs that shape the country’s identity. Monday’s session features Joy’s performance of Duke Elington’s “Lu Sucrier- Velours,” while Tuesday was her cover of Miles Davis Quintet’s “Stablemates.”
Guyton’s session is a live performance of her song “All American,” which will go live this Friday.
