Country music singer John Rich will be sworn in at the White House today as special envoy for American landowners at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
According to the USDA, he will work with farmers, ranchers and private property owners when it comes to their land rights, especially in connection with large-scale solar and wind energy development.
In a statement, Rich said President Trump has given him the opportunity to stand up for these land owners to make sure they aren’t harassed, intimidated, or pressured by outside interests.
